MEDIC SMS/Text Messaging
MEDIC may communicate with donors via SMS/text message regarding appointment reminders, donation opportunities, blood inventory needs, eligibility and next donation dates, nearby blood drives, and other donor-related communications. SMS consent is not required to donate blood or receive services from MEDIC. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency will not exceed two (2) messages per day or ten (10) messages per month. MEDIC does not sell, rent, transfer, share, or otherwise disclose donor mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
Messaging Service Providers
MEDIC may use carefully selected third-party service providers to support donor communications, appointment scheduling, website functionality, analytics, and SMS delivery. These providers receive only the information necessary to perform services on MEDIC’s behalf and are required to maintain appropriate safeguards.
Information Sharing
MEDIC may share information with authorized service providers when required by law, to protect the safety and security of donors and MEDIC, in connection with organizational restructuring, and in de-identified or aggregated form for operational and reporting purposes. MEDIC does not sell personal information.
