Platelet Program Changes

Starting January 1st, 2026, platelet donors will receive a $50 e-gift card following their donation. The IRS raised the limit for rewards from $600 to $2000 for 2026. With this change, donors should not reach the limit. Therefore will not need to have a 1099 issued.  Below are the new program guidelines that will go into effect on January 1st.

• $50 E-Gift Card for their successful donation.
• Platelet donors are not limited to 13 e-gift cards.
• Platelet donors may donate up to 24 times or until they hit their plasma loss limit.
• There is no punch card program for 2026.
• Platelet donors will continue to receive the advertised promotions for the day of their donation.
