This special promotion is just one of several upcoming summer events. Donors are encouraged to give early, so they will be eligible to give later this summer and earn other specials.
Donors can give blood every 56 days.
Several recent traumas, many of which have been covered by local media, have left MEDIC with a lower than expected supply of blood. Historically, summer is a difficult period for donors to make time to give blood. MEDIC is counting on events like these to help remind people of the importance of giving blood.
Because of the Zika Virus, new restrictions are in place on blood donors. If you’ve been out of the U.S. or Canada in the past 28 days, donors can call MEDIC at 865-524-3074 to confirm their eligibility.
